Lleyton Moore is the longest serving Player Ambassador to be nominated for the 2022-23 Dayna Brons Honorary Award. Spending most of his junior career with the Oshawa Generals Lleyton was traded to the Kitchener Rangers late in the 2022-23 season; adding offence to the Rangers blue line and helping the team advance to the second round of the OHL playoffs.
Lleyton showed tremendous leadership at a young age, joining Hockey Gives Blood as a 17-year-old in the early days of the program. Leyton helped grow the program across the OHL through numerous blood and stem cell drives. During the off season, Lleyton would donate blood and consistently spread the message of the need for blood. This past season, Lleyton created a fundraising initiative that raised over $1000 in support of Canadian Blood Services.
Lleyton is a reliable and responsive ambassador that consistently demonstrates his selflessness and kindness; traits that Dayna Brons was also known for. Lleyton’s actions and contributions over this extended period have had a significant impact on patients in Canada and we are thrilled to announce him as nominee. Thank you, and congratulations Lleyton!
